renovations
Since purchasing the resort property in 2021, we have been working hard to update the units, grounds and amenities. While we still have plans for more improvements, here are some examples that show how far we have come. Enjoy!

The Chickadee Cottage had some water damage on the exterior living room wall, which was removed and repaired. Stone-composite flooring was installed throughout. New paint and furniture lightened the spaces. A new convertible sofa has been added since the photo was taken.

The Hummingbird Cottage was in pretty good shape so we focused on updating the interiors. New flooring, paint and furniture updated the space. Since this photo was taken, a new A/C unit was installed and artwork changed out.

The Kingfisher Cottage received a lot of love. Extensive floor damage was repaired and the foundation was supported. We refinished cabinets, painted and installed new floors.

The Sandpiper Suite was in good structural shape so we focused on aesthetics. New flooring, paint, furniture and refinished cabinets opened up the space.

Our Studio units needed the most attention. We removed wall paneling and drop-ceilings, adding bead board ceilings. We reconfigured the kitchenette and replaced all bathroom fixtures, upgraded plumbing and electrical throughout. New paint, furniture and decor finished the transformation.

The Cardinal Suite received a lot of new finishes, including resurfaced cabinets, paint, flooring, bathroom fixtures and a new fridge.

The Starling one bedroom Suite is our most recent renovation. We combined two of our smaller units into one unit. We replaced walls, ceilings and flooring in both rooms. We added all new cabinets and kitchen appliances and furnishings throughout. When we insulated the walls between the rooms for sound-reduction and added a second door between the lock-off units for security and sound-reduction.

The Sparrow Studio received an overhaul at the end of our first season. Similar to the other Studios, we replaced flooring and removed the dropped-ceiling and replaced it with a beautiful bead board. The original walls were real wood paneling so we decided to repair what was there since it was sturdy. We added a kitchenette with small appliances to allow for simple meal prep. All new furnishings completed the update.
